Recovery, whether it's from substances or other destructive behavior, is all about change and healing. It isn't easy. If you're willing to work, it will occur. It takes willingness, strength and courage to complete the process. I've worked in addictions recovery for 18 years and my personal recovery process for 23. Yes, it's difficult. The challenge is to not let fear stop you from whatever change you are striving for. Remember: "It doesn't take courage to do something you're not afraid of. It takes courage to be afraid and to do it anyway."
I work with you on changing destructive emotions, behaviors and reactions into constructive thoughts and actions. During and between sessions we will utilize a variety of methods to reinforce, strengthen and speed the recovery process. Written homework, cognitive exercises and breathing/visualizion techniques are a few of these.
Each person and each couple has a unique goal for change. My practice is dedicated to helping you discover your own courage and personal path to your goal. Don't let fear hold you back from personal progress. Remember, you are stronger than you think you are.
