ulian Assange appears in the United States live onstage — as a hologramWikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange left the Ecuadorian Embassy in London on Sunday — sort of. Assange, who has been living in asylum for more than two years, appeared onstage in Nantucket, Massachusetts, as a hologram, participating in a live interview at the Nantucket Project's Art + Commerce summit. Assange was interviewed by filmmaker Eugene Jarecki, who was present in Nantucket. “I’m getting very good at secret communication," Assange, seated on a stool and beamed from inside the the embassy, said of living as a fugitive in plain sight. His appearance as a 3D, life-size, high-definition projection was produced by Hologram USA, the same company behind the holograms of Michael Jackson and Tupac Shakur. Credit News Happy Birthday 401(k) On September 2, we celebrated the 40th birthday of the 401(k)! The 401(k) has changed how most Americans plan for and enjoy their retirement. There are many reasons to celebrate this milestone because there are many benefits to a 401(k). Contributions, whether made by an employer or the employee, are tax deductible.Gains are not taxed either, as long as they remain in the account – and the gains are only taxed upon withdrawal. If you change jobs, 401(k)s are easy to rollover from one account to another – all while avoiding taxation. Saving now for retirement may seem daunting or unnecessary, but it can help you enjoy life after retirement –without having to take on debt for day-to-day living expenses. If you have questions about your current 401(k) or are interested in participating in your organization’s contribution program, talk with your manager or Human Resources contact. And the shorter they get, the older you look and the more decrepit you feel. When you prevent them from getting shorter, or make them longer, you program your body to create younger cells. I’ve spent the last 6 years using this technology to help people just like you restore power, strength, mental clarity and an overwhelming sense of optimism. I have it, and it makes life more enjoyable than even I thought it could be. Today we have a lot of evidence to back up
what maintaining your telomeres can do.
Like this absolutely incredible study on the Harvard mice by Dr. DePinho. As I’ve shared with you in previous letters, Dr. DePinho is a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School and director of applied cancer science at the Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. When mice with short telomeres had this “t…
