HOW TO FIND FACES & PEOPLE ON GOOGLE+

Find & label people

Search for people in your photos by seeing similar faces grouped together. Note that this feature is not available in certain countries.
Instructions

Step 1: Go to the search page

Android or iOS app:
  1. Open the Google Photos app .
  2. At the bottom right, tap Search .
Computer:

Step 2: Find faces

Under the People section, select a person's face to see more photos of them.
  • If you don't see the People section, that means this feature is not available in your country or you turned it off in settings.
  • If you don't see the person you're looking for, select More.

Step 3: Label faces

Create a private label for a face group: At the top of a face group, select "Who is this?" > enter a name or nickname (or choose from the suggestions).
  • After you label a face group, you can search with that label using the search box.
  • Only you will see the private face label you choose, even if you share those photos.
Change or remove a label: At the top right, tap or click More  > Edit or Remove name label.

Remove an incorrect photo or video

If you see something that's in the wrong group, you can take it out.
